Ben & Jerry’s in Meredith continued its “Project Joy” to benefit frontline workers and first responders with a donation to Golden View Healthcare Center for its staff and residents.

“It was a very warm day and an ice cream break was welcomed by our staff, giving them a small break from their daily responsibilities. Residents said thank you for a very special treat of Ben & Jerry’s, with more than a few asking for more,” stated Frank Vignand, director of resident and community relations. “Our sincerest thanks to Jayne and all the staff at Ben & Jerry’s and to Deborah Crosby, our volunteer, for giving us a very special treat during these trying times.”

The local scoop shop planned to give away 1,000 cups of ice cream to other front-line workers and first responders in the community through May 31.

Golden View is a senior living provider for 105 seniors in their Medicare and Medicaid-certified Center and 48 seniors in their assisted living.
