Criticism about President Trump’s actions in February were based on the science. It was Dr. Anthony Fauci, of the president’s COVID task force, who said that the virus was manageable. Speaker Nancy Pelosi takes Dr. Fauci at his word to this day even when he is wrong. But the president took immediate action to not allow flights from China to protect the American people.
Immediately Joe Biden criticized the president for doing that to the point of calling Trump xenophobic. At least Biden had the character to apologize to the president six weeks later. Biden knows the president was right and so do most Americans.
President Trump did everything necessary to save lives. Because he is a business person and not a career politician, he got Wal-Mart, Robert Kraft and others to assist in this war effort.
When America was engaged in two world wars, most Americans came together to support the presidents even though not all Americans agreed with their commanders in chief: Woodrow Wilson, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Harry Truman. It is shameful that during this world war of the invisible enemy, that some people of this generation have lost that sense of support for their commander in chief.
