EAST SIDE Golf contest scheduled

■Immanuel Community Church, Grace Episcopal Church, East Congregational Church, Concordia Lutheran Church and Granite State Baptist Church continue to have worship services online. Check church websites and Facebook pages for details. Immaculate Heart of Mary is having outdoor Masses on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the Rosary Garden. Oasis Christian Church is holding its services at Concord Christian Academy, 37 Regional Drive, at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Oasis services are also online.

■The annual Immaculate Heart of Mary Youth Charity Golf Tournament and barbecue is scheduled for Sept. 5, rain or shine, at Loudon Country Club. A breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and there will be an 8 a.m. shotgun start. This is a four-person scramble. The golfer that hits closest to the pin on the 17th hole will receive an ice cream ride with Father Ray as the chauffeur. Other contests include putting, longest drive, double or nothing, straightest drive, plus raffle prizes. Register online at ihmnh.org. Fill out the form and mail it in or send it by fax or email. ■The Nevers’ Band will complete its shortened summer concert series on Tuesday at Riverfront Park, behind the Everett Arena, at 7 p.m. Those attending are reminded to bring a lawn chair or blanket, practice social distancing (or listen from your car) and wear a mask. The concert will be canceled if it rains

■Apple Hill Farm, 580 Mountain Road, is now open for the season. The farm stand features jams, jellies, homemade candy and early vegetables. Blueberries and raspberries are available for picking. Call 224-8862 for information.

■It is with great pleasure on behalf of President Tim Britain, Immediate Past President Warren Emley and Committee Chair Richard Bean, that the Rotary Club of Concord announces its scholarship recipients. It awarded 27 need-based scholarships totaling over $47,000. The Rotary Club is fortunate to be associated with, and fiduciary for, the Arell Family Funds, which allows the Rotary Club of Concord Foundation to disperse these funds to worthy area residents and students who are attending two- and four-year colleges and universities, as well as certificate programs and trade schools. The Rotary Club extends the warmest congratulations and best wishes of success to all recipients.

■The Concord High School Class of 1970 50th reunion has been changed to June 28, 2021. It will still be held at Makris Seafood and Steak Restaurant. WEST SIDE Manse open for tours

■The Pierce Manse, home of the 14th U.S. president Franklin Pierce from 1842-1848, is open for tours by appointment only. Visitors are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Appointments can be made by calling 224-2939.

■The Capital Center for the Arts in collaboration with the Concord Community Music School and the City of Concord, presents “Music in the Park” a series of mini concerts on Saturday evenings through Aug. 22 on the Concord Community Music School’s outdoor stage (Fletcher-Murphy Park, 28 Fayette Street). ■The Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County is open during COVID-19 to anyone that needs assistance with pet food. SOUTH END Binder to talk on novel

■An Unemployment Support Group will meet on Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at EJ’s on Main Restaurant, 172 Main Street. The group will also meet on all Mondays in August. This free, weekly support group is made up of folks who are either unemployed or under-employed who offer emotional support and networking advice in a very casual, judgement-free atmosphere. ■Author L. Annette Binder will visit Gibson’s Bookstore on Tuesday at 7 p.m. via Zoom to present her novel “The Vanishing Sky,” a story of World War II through the lens of a German family.
