Music at Farm Market

■A public hearing will be on Monday to authorize the city manager to accept and appropriate a grant for substance abuse and mental health services to fund the Mayor’s Drug Task Force through August 2025. Call 934-3900 for details and to be sent the link to the on-line meeting.

■The Zoning Board will hold a Zoom meeting on Wednesday. Call 934-2341 for details and to be sent the link to connect to the meeting.

■The Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry, located at 1 Central Street (across from Benson Auto), might be able to take excess produce from local gardens. If you would like to donate, please call the pantry at 934-2662 or email info.trifp@gmail.com to see if the pantry has refrigerated space to accommodate your donation at that time. The pantry is also looking for volunteers on Monday mornings to help with stocking, Tuesday mornings, Wednesday evenings from 5-7 p.m. and Thursdays from 8:30-11:30 a.m. to pack items during service hours. ■The TRIP Center offers three readymade frozen meals which can be picked up on Monday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Call 934-4151 to request and arrange a time for pick-up.

■Three Rivers Coalition will be at the Farmers’ Market/Concerts in the Park every Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. You may pick up information or an application for an absentee ballot for the Sept. 7 state primary, Oct. 10 City of Franklin elections and Nov. 3 general election. Enjoy the market and music and request your ballots while enjoying a social evening. Ballot request forms are also available for downloading at sos.nh.gov or by calling the City Clerk’s office (934-3109). When you get your ballot, send it in right away so your vote can be counted.

■The Franklin Public Library is now open by appointment Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library offers 15 minutes of browsing to one party at a time. For now, there are no public computers. Curbside pickup will be continued Monday through Friday. Call 934-2911 for details.

■Music in the Park is every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Marceau Park. This week Tim Hazelton, who plays acoustic “folk rock” guitar and mandolin, specializing in fun original and cover tunes, will be performing. Refreshments will be available for sale from Buffy the Hot Dog Slinger. Bring a blanket or chairs. Social distancing protocols will be in place. The Farmers Market will be winding down as the music comes up.

■The Franklin Farmers Market will be held at Marceau Park every Tuesday from 3-6 p.m. through Sept. 29. Free children’s activities and recipe samples will be available. SNAP, debit and credit cards are accepted. Interested vendors can fill out an application form available on the city Parks & Recreation website or call 934-2118 with questions. Linger a while and enjoy the free concert in the park.
