■The Kiwanis Club of Concord will be meeting Monday at 6 p.m. at the Red Blazer Restaurant on Manchester Street.
■The New Hampshire Council of Churches will present “Voter Education for Church Leaders” on Tuesday at 5 p.m. (a new date a time than previously scheduled). Register for this Zoom meeting at nhchurches.org/vote2020. This presentation will equip clergy and lay leaders to talk about and answer questions about voting in their congregations. The webinar will feature Brian Beihl of Open Democracy as he explains how voting, especially absentee ballots, will function in congregations in 2020 elections. Many details about this election will be different than the past and this will eliminate confusion in your congregation.
■The 69th annual Concord Christmas Parade planning is well underway with Brian Blackden chairing the event. The parade is scheduled for Nov. 21 at 9:30 a.m. in Concord Heights. Floats, decorated vehicles, emergency response vehicles and Santa Claus will be among the participants. Please contact Brian at 229-4967 for information.

■The Capitol Center for the Arts, in collaboration with the Concord Community Music School and the City of Concord, have added concerts to the “Music in the Park” series held at the Concord Community Music School outdoor stage (Fletcher-Murphy Park, 28 Fayette St.). ■With One Heart Early Learning Center has expanded its program to assist the community and will begin enrolling school-aged children in grades K-3. The fellowship hall located in the Concordia Lutheran church has been converted to a large classroom to accommodate individual workspaces for each child. The Learning Center is providing support for remote learning and enrichment activities, as well as outdoor opportunities, all under the direct supervision of qualified staff. ■The Food Pantry at West Congregational Church (499 N. State St.) is open on Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Good wholesome food, as well as pet food, is available. Park on the street behind the church, call 224-4142, stay in your car and just pop your trunk. Easy as that.
■The Pope Memorial SPCA of Concord-Merrimack County is open to anyone that needs assistance with pet food. It is available to the public on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please practice social distancing protocols while you are at the shelter. ■The Pierce Manse, home of President Franklin Pierce from 1842 to 1848, is open for guided tours on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. To keep everyone as safe as possible, only two groups of six people or less are allowed in the house at any one time. Face coverings and social distancing are required. Visitors will be asked to sign a form stating that they are free from COVID-19 symptoms.
