■St. Therese Rosebush Society will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the St. John the Baptist Parish upper hall.

■Movie Night on the Town Hall Lawn will be playing “The Goonies” on Saturday. Show time will be around 7:30 p.m. on a giant movie screen. This is a great way to get out and enjoy the first movie night, sponsored by the Allenstown Economic Development Committee. Get there early to scope out the best spots for enjoying the movie.

■Take a look at the Hometown Heroes Banners along School Street honoring town veterans. The Allenstown Economic Development Committee working with Matt Wieszhalek-Seiler, head of Concord for Hometown Heroes Banners. A big thank you to Rich and Trish Caruso for all the help to attach the banners to the poles. The banners you will see honor Lawrence F. Martel, U.S. Navy; Gerald H. Lavoie, U.S. Navy; Sgt. Edward B. ■Primary voting results for Chichester are available at chichesternh.org. Great turnout and a very well-run voting experience.

■On Tuesday, the Chichester Historical Society will meet from 9 a.m. to noon at the museum. There was a good turnout for last weeks program “Diaries.” For people that are interested in the actual diaries, they are available to read, and even borrow, in binders at the Historical Society museum.

■BCEP will meet on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the facility.

■Kids are playing soccer! The schedules for U8, U10 and U12 teams are available on the town website under Chichester Youth Association. The league includes Epsom, Pittsfield and Concord Christian.  

■The Board of Selectmen meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month. Meetings will now be held live at the Grange Hall.

■The library is pleased to announce that interlibrary loan is back! Also, the library welcomes visits from homeschoolers.

■Read the Chichester Citizens U.S.A. Facebook page and you will see we have more animal goings on than people events! Lost and found dogs and cats, a cow that managed to cross Route 4 (twice, that was some feat!), a cow loose on Main Street (back home safely), a wandering quail, a banded partridge and lots of bears.

■Remember, the food pantry is still here for you! Current hours are Wednesdays from 12-2 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

■The Board of Selectmen will meet on Monday at 6 p.m. at 940 Suncook Valley Highway.

■The Planning Board meeting will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at 940 Suncook Valley Highway.

■The Epsom Public Library is not open to the public yet, but items can be returned to the big meeting room, Monday through Thursday, from 1-6 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Curbside pickup is also offered on those days. Items can be reserved through the library website or by calling 736-9920.

■Evergreen Lodge 53 and Ivy Green Lodge 36 will have a curbside pickup dinner on Oct. 2 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Epsom Odd Fellows Hall on Short Falls Road. Menu will include pulled pork, bun, coleslaw, baked beans and dessert. Cost is $10. Reservations are required and a pickup time will be scheduled. ■There will be winter squash, corn stalks and cornstalk arrangements for sale on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 615 Dowboro Road in Pittsfield. All proceeds will go to the Victory Workers 4H club garden project.
