On Sept. 20, Jay Godfrey from Concord and his team, Johnny’s Reply, biked in the ALS Association Massachusetts chapter’s Ride to Defeat ALS. Godfrey was only 12 years old when his father died from ALS and as an active cyclist, now rides in his honor.

Proceeds from the event support the Massachusetts ALS community with no-cost services like support groups, home visits, insurance counseling, referrals to community resources, durable medical equipment loans, the Care Connection program, education, and more. The event also surpassed 50% of their goal to a total of $143,000. Johnny’s Reply raised $9,000 to this total.
