My father, John Lynch, ran for governor when I was 15. I’ve always enjoyed being involved with campaigns, but this year feels different. This year, I don’t want to wake up on Nov. 4 and ask myself what else could I have done.

As a survivor of sexual assault and domestic violence, I want a president who will fight for survivors. Joe Biden has stood up for survivors his entire life and will continue to fight to end gender-based violence.

As someone who has had to navigate the health care system, I want a president who will fight to make healthcare more accessible. Biden has a plan to ensure every American has health care coverage.

As a woman who is thinking of starting a family, I want to feel like I can bring a child into a safe world where everyone can get ahead. I know Biden will fight climate change and make college affordable.

These are the reasons why I volunteer for the Biden campaign and reach out to people in my network to ask, “What is your plan to vote?” and “Can I help you make a plan?”

My dad used to say, “We live in the greatest state, in the greatest country, in the world.” I believe that is true, but we have a lot of work to do to recover from the last four years. That’s why I’m proud to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and will fight every day until Nov. 3 to get them elected.
