A local state representative is filing a bill that would allow Roselynn Homemade Ice Cream to reopen without the fear of losing its license for not abiding by the state’s mask requirement.
The popular ice cream parlor and breakfast diner closed Oct. 30. Owner Joseph Bodge said at the time he would rather close than abide by the governor’s order that restaurant staff must wear masks when dealing directly with customers.
“We have decided to close and make a stand,” Bodge said.
State Rep. Cody Belanger, a Republican, said he’s co-sponsoring a bill with Reps. Andrew Prout, R-Hudson, and Josh Yokela, R-Fremont, that would help Roselynn and other businesses impacted by the governor’s emergency orders due to the pandemic.
