■The annual Canterbury Plant Swap is on Wednesday from 6-7 p.m. on the grounds around the gazebo in the center. Please wear a face mask and maintain social distancing. Bring your labeled, divided perennials and bulbs or extra flower and vegetable seedlings you might have. We are trying to reduce the spread of the invasive jumping worm, known to be in some gardens in town. They are not good for soil. Please make sure the roots of any plants you dig up are bare. After you dig your plants, use a high pressure setting on your hose and spray all the soil off. Bring them in a shallow tray or plastic bags with enough water to keep the roots from drying out. To find out more about the jumping worm visit extension.unh.edu/resource/plant-sales-and-jumping-worms. This swap is open to anyone in town, no matter your level of gardening experience. If you’re new to Canterbury, it’s a great way to pick up some plants to landscape your yard and meet your neighbors at the same time. There’s always plenty to share, so come even if you don’t have much to bring. Master gardeners Donna Miller and Meg Miller will be on hand and will help answer your gardening questions. Call Donna at 783-0220 if you have any questions.
