Summer camps

■Franklin City Council municipal department budgets will be presented Monday at 6 p.m. The meeting can be accessed in-person, via Zoom (viewing only) or by a recording later. If you wish to send in a comment or question for the council, please submit an email to mayor@franklinnh.org or alanzillo@franklinnh.org no later than noon on Monday. Please wear a mask during all public meetings at City Hall and remain 3 feet away from the next person. If you are not able to wear a mask, remain 6 feet from the next person. Agendas and Zoom links are posted the Thursdays before the meeting.

■The Franklin School Board will meet Monday at 6:30 p.m. Visit sau18.org/page/board meetings for details.

■The Franklin Animal Shelter will hold a golf tournament on June 21 at Lochmere Country Club (360 Tilton Road, Tilton, NH). Format is four-person scramble with an 8:30 a.m. start, rain or shine. The entry fee is $100 per player or $400 for a team, which includes greens fee, cart, range balls and lunch. Save $50 off team registration if you pay by Friday. ■The Franklin Historical Society Plant Sale will be June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please save your cuttings and donate indoor and outdoor plants. Contact Annette at 934-8222 if you have items to donate.

■Save the date of June 19 to celebrate Winni River Days. This full day of fun for all ages will celebrate our river and all the great opportunities that are provided for community activities.

■The Baptist Church of Franklin is planning a Craft Fair on July 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor registration forms can be accessed by calling Hannah at 934-0230 or emailing thebaptist@metrocast.net.

■Franklin Parks & Recreation Summer Camp will run June 21 through Sept. 3 for kids who have completed grades K-8. Offerings include mountain biking, paddle board lessons, swimming lessons and kayaking at Webster Lake; plus tennis, soccer, Franklin Area Children’s Theatre and more! Register through the Parks & Recreation tab at franklinnh.org. You can create an account and register for programs. Donations to a scholarship fund are greatly appreciated. You may send checks made out to Franklin Parks & Recreation, noting it is for the scholarship, and mail to 12 Rowell Drive, Franklin, NH 03235. Call 934-2118 with any questions.

■The Franklin Public Library is open for appointments, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Computers are available and curbside service is provided upon request. A virtual story time is presented weekly. Please call 934-2911 for details or to schedule an appointment.
