Museums struggled to survive during the pandemic, and in a thoughtful gesture of generosity, one museum is encouraging folks to support other organizations. At the upcoming annual meeting of Warner’s Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum, the focus will center on building community.
The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. on July 10 in the Powwow Field on Highlawn Road, Warner, and those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food donations to help the local food pantry. Presentations by Warner Connects NH Food Pantry & Resource Center, the Kearsarge Food Hub and the Abenaki Trails Project will enlighten all and encourage them to support these non-profit organizations.
“We hope those interested in the museum will come and learn how it prospered through its creativity. Our success is evident in our growing volunteer base, and with the continued support of our volunteers, we have emerged more dedicated to our mission and to supporting others,” said Andy Bullock, executive director of the museum.
Attendees will learn who will be named Outstanding Volunteer and who will receive the Founder’s Award. The afternoon session will include an auction, raffles and time to socialize. More information about this meeting may be found on the museum’s website indianmuseum.org, or by calling 603-456-2600.
