A Concord woman was found dead in her apartment at a low-income housing complex in the city on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:10 p.m., Concord Police responded to a residence at Royal Gardens following a report of an unattended death. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a 37-year-old woman inside the apartment, according to police.

The identity of the woman has not been released. Authorities said the investigation remains open and ongoing.
