The City of Concord and the Concord Parks and Recreation Department will host a COVID-19 mobile vaccine clinic at Concord Community Center at 14 Canterbury Road on Jan. 9.

Residents age 5 and older can get a free dose of the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccines. First and second shots as well as boosters will be available from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. No appointment is required.

The mobile teams distributing shots can also answer questions about the vaccines and boosters, including which booster makes the most sense for a particular individual.

During a monthly Concord City Council meeting last week, city councilors and Mayor Jim Bouley discussed the importance of encouraging more Concord residents to receive COVID vaccinations and boosters to halt the spread of the Delta and Omicron variants. The council will hear public testimony on reinstating a mask ordinance for businesses on Jan. 3.
