The fourth quarter had several lead changes and Royals led by as many as five points, but key stops by the Hawks and clutch free throws down the stretch allowed Hopkinton to win.

Coach’s quote: “What a battle between two strong teams. Mascoma is one of the toughest and most physical teams we have faced this year and I am proud of how the guys handled it on the road in a loud playoff atmosphere environment. The ability to win those close games will provide experience for the playoffs. Every day we are improving on little things and guys are stepping up as the season goes on. Well-earned victory for the guys.” – Hopkinton’s Stephen Signor
