Loved Jonathan Baird’s My Turn about MLK in Monday’s paper (1/31). Full of good information etc. I was just thinking that that was the kind of actual historical information that our Republican legislature is trying to prevent students from learning.
With this ridiculous bill on “divisive concepts” that would prevent a teacher from discussing race issues in a classroom, this My Turn would be something students couldn’t see or be able to be exposed to. These kinds of crazy bills that have been put forth by the GOP make you wonder what country we are living in.
