The NH House will soon vote on HCR-7 expressly supporting Israel’s control over Jerusalem as its capital. That would put Christian interests in Jerusalem under Israeli approval. Why would NH want to do this? For those who protest that Israel respects all faiths, here is evidence from a variety of sources where Israel threatened Christian interests: 13 Christian leaders warn of the ‘hatred, conflict, violence and suffering’ and ‘irreparable harm’ that a change in U.S. policy on Jerusalem could create (“Heads of Jerusalem churches,” Times of Israel, 2017). Church leaders call expansion of Israeli national park a ‘direct attack on the Christians in the Holy Land (Mondoweiss, 2022).

U.S. lawmakers rip Israel bill to seize church land (YeniSafak, 2018). Court awards Jerusalem church properties to Jewish organization (Israel Today, 2019). Jerusalem churches fear Israel is using ‘discriminatory’ bill to seize their land (Christian Today, 2018). Israeli land grab threatens Palestinian church (Al-Monitor, 2016). Canadian Bishops renew protest against Israel’s construction of wall through Cremisan Valley (Independent Catholic News, 2015).

Why have 10 members of the NH House felt compelled to write this legislation (HCR-7) that so clearly threatens to harm Christian interests in this holiest of cities? Contact them today and ask!
