■Chichester Fire Chief, Alan Quimby, wants to take a moment to thank the voters of Chichester for their support at the town meeting. ■New Hampshire requires that dogs four months of age or older need to be licensed with the town clerk. The license can be done online, mailed to the town clerk or dropped off. Licenses will only be issued if rabies vaccinations are up to date. Fees: non-spayed or non-neutered is $10, spayed or neutered $7.50, five or more dogs of same owner $20, the first dog for an owner is $5 plus is $2 regular rate for any other dog. ■The Chichester Heritage Commission is looking for more members. The mission of the Commission is to preserve our community’s character. It was established in 2009 by a town meeting vote to provide guidance to owners of properties eligible for State and National Historic Register designation. Land preservation planning initiatives by doing resource surveys and inventories is another aim of the Commission; to raise awareness of the public benefit of preserving our historical, cultural and scenic resources through education not policy. ■The baseball fields are thawing out as Chichester’s Youth Association players get their bats and gloves ready for the season. April 3 will be clean-up day at Carpenter Park at 9 a.m. to prepare the fields for play. Bring rakes and yardwork equipment.
■The Chichester Library will be holding a Card Stitching Class on April 6 at 5:30 p.m. Call the library at 798-5613 to register.
■Chichester Youth Association Baseball announced that opening day games will start on April 30. CYA has a Minors Team, a Rookies team and three T-Ball Teams. ■The 2021 Town Reports are available at the town office. The Board of Selectmen meets the second and third Tuesday of the month. The agenda is posted on the town website.
■The Chichester PTO, Town of Chichester and local businesses are working hard for a new event in Chichester. The Chichester Easter Egg hunt will be held on April 9 with a special helicopter drop-off of eggs scheduled at 10 a.m. This is for residents only, with tractor hayrides and the library will have a special Story Time at the pavilion. The PTO will have thousands of eggs to stuff with candy and small toys. Please help and bring your donations to the school.
■The Fire Department holds weekly meetings every Monday night. Recently members trained on an assortment of rescue tools. The department responds to many automobile accidents and keeping fresh on skills is important. Fred Potter of Rockingham County Towing provided the department with two vehicles for the training.

■Pittsfield Youth Workshop youth are collecting donations for Old Dogs Go to Helen! This nonprofit supports abandoned senior dogs, so that they can spend their final years living their best life thanks to proper medical care and loving homes. Donations we are looking for include, but are not limited to blankets, towels, paper towels, dog beds, toys, treats, leashes and collars. Lightly loved items are appreciated and accepted. There will be a main collection box at PYW to drop off donations.

■The Pittsfield Parks and Recreation Commission will be looking for lifeguards this summer. To receive lifeguard certification, you must be 15 years old, but to lifeguard for the Town of Pittsfield you must be 16. The town reimburses 75% of the cost of your training if you work for us for two summers. Swim New Hampshire and the YMCA both offer courses.
■The First Congregational Church will hold its Palm Sunday Service on April 10 at 10 a.m. Palms will be distributed. A special Maundy Thursday worship service including Holy Communion, commemorating the “Last Supper” of Jesus, will be held on April 14 at 7 p.m. On Easter, April 17, at 7:30 a.m. the customary Sunrise Service will be held in the sanctuary with breakfast immediately following (about 8:15 a.m.) in the church vestry. The traditional Easter worship service will commence at 10 a.m. with special music by the Chancel Choir and the JuBellation Handbell Choir. Come and worship at either service and join us for breakfast! There is parking as well as a wheelchair-accessible entrance at the rear of the church at Chestnut Street.
