CANTERBURYBook bin

■ Discovery Book Bin: You may have noticed a blue book bin in the back parking lot. We have teamed up with Discovery Books because our overall mission is the same. They work to protect the environment by ensuring unwanted books are sold or redistributed, not thoughtlessly destroyed. They give millions of books to literacy and community-based organizations in underserved communities. Before you throw your used books in the bin, stop at the Circulation Desk inside and see a staff member. We heavily utilize donations to complete our collection and replace worn copies of existing titles. We put some books in our own Book Sale and the rest in the Discovery Bin so they can serve other libraries and schools. When it comes time for the Fair, we will take everything out of the bin to put in the Fair Book Sale! After the Fair, Discovery Books will come and take everything that didn’t sell. We feel that this is a great collaboration.
