■The Transfer Station needs help from the citizens of town if it is to continue to serve future generations of town residents. Do we go forward with only limited information on what to do with our “town dump?” Do we continue with practices established years ago? We need to develop a plan that addresses our present needs and also builds for the future and identifies the features we need going forward. Here is an excellent opportunity to participate, for both young and old. The Solid Waste Committee, chaired by Steve Rasche, is planning on meeting on the fourth Thursday of the month at 3:30 p.m. in the Library. If you have never served on a town board, and you have an interest in this facility; and f you want to assist in determining what happens to it and how we pay for this service, please join us. Committees are where community direction is found, make a difference. Volunteer! If you have not felt included in the workings of the town, or wondered if there was something you could get involved in, please, join us. You can call the town office at (603) 783-9955 or contact Kent Ruesswick, on (603) 731-8863.

■Join the Webster Free Public Library on May 20 at 7 p.m., and be sure to bring all of your little brain cells with you. Maybe you can help Hercule Poirot solve his mystery, “Death on the Nile.” Belgian sleuth Hercule Poirot’s Egyptian vacation aboard a glamorous river steamer turns into a terrifying search for a murderer when a picture-perfect couple’s idyllic honeymoon is tragically cut short. Set against an epic landscape of sweeping desert vistas and the majestic Giza pyramids, this tale of unbridled passion and incapacitating jealousy features a cosmopolitan group of impeccably dressed travelers, and enough wicked twists and turns to leave audiences guessing until the final, shocking denouement (Amazon.com description). Comfy chairs, snacks, and a large screen all for your viewing pleasure. This is a great (and free) way to spend a Friday evening.
