An 18 year old can’t legally buy an alcoholic drink until they’re 21. But they can legally buy an assault rifle and as much ammunition as they want. This doesn’t make sense.
Some lawmakers think that we should turn our schools into fortresses with more fencing, barricades, and security guards. This is their vision of what it means to live free. This doesn’t make sense.
Some lawmakers think we should arm teachers in our schools. They think the best way to stop gun violence is with more guns. This doesn’t make sense.
The same lawmakers are willing to take away a women’s right to choose to pass laws to protect the unborn. Meanwhile they won’t pass laws to protect the lives of the children already born. This doesn’t make sense.
When it’s time to vote in November, know who you’re voting for and what they stand for. It’s time to start making sense.
