Old Home Day success

With another (very) successful Old Home Day behind us, the Boscawen Old Home Day (BOHD) Committee is extremely grateful for the support of not only the business community but all the individuals who stepped up and provided the funds and the time and talent to make it all happen. Elektrisola was there as a premier sponsor. This business does more for the town than they will ever get credit for and we are most appreciative.

Our major sponsors were Black Forest Nursery, Boscawen Sand and Gravel, Kentek Corporation (welcome to Boscawen!), Total Climate Control, Aranco Oil Company (Boscawen Sunoco), and, of course, Huckleberry Propane and Oil.

Friendly sponsors, those businesses and individuals whose generosity made it all happen. John and Sue Porter, Homestead Inn 1765 LLC, Colby Lumber Company, Highway View Farm LLC, Briar Hydro Assoc., Ledge Top Sugar House, Maple Tree Farm, LLC, Jason and Lisa-Marie Lyford, Cremation Society of New Hampshire, Ross Express LLC, Janice Steenbeck, Marshall’s Florist, MDM Property Management LLC, Boscawen Elementary School Staff, Jim and Lynn Colby, Bernie Davis, Alan’s of Boscawen and Brendan Casey.

One of the reasons the Golf Classic is so very popular are the raffle prizes and the winners winnings. Henrietta Kenney, Tammy Pepler Crete, Poirier Landscaping, Den Brae Golf Resort, CC Tomatoes, Constantly Pizza, Black Forest Nursery, Made in USA, L&S, N.H. Fisher Cats, Tim and Kim Kenney, Penacook Pharmacy, Marshall’s Florist, Market Basket, Dunkin Employees, Caroletta and Stephanie Alicea, Pembroke Pines Golf Club, Loudon Country Club, Canterbury Woods Golf Club and The Beav! (Beaver Meadow Golf Club).

Thanks to John Keegan and the Agricultural Commission for their generous donation of Boscawen-grown fruits and vegetables awarded to the winners of the Flashy Flock. Thanks to Roger Sanborn, Ed Cherian and Kearsten for judging the Flashy Flock. Thanks to Matt Burdick, Committee Ex-Officio, for his valuable contribution to the BOHD Committee. Thanks, and lots of them, to the Town of Boscawen Staff and The Select Board for their continued support. Thanks to the MVHS students for running the various games. Thanks to the Boscawen Summer Park Program for the beautiful game signs. Finally, many, many thanks to Adele Sanborn whose contribution to the week were truly invaluable.
