■Three great community events, on Oct. 22. Start at the TRIP Center with the annual Community Halloween Party for children 12 and under, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Then parade downtown to visit local businesses, ending on Central Street where there will be Trunk or Treat until 5 p.m. The Annual Soup Fest takes place in Marceau Park from 2 to 5 p.m. End the day with Octoberfest at the Veterans Memorial Recreation Area (ski area), Flaghole Road, from 3 to 10 p.m. Four live bands, great food prepared by the Elks, yard games music and a beer garden by Kettlehead.
■Mountain View Estates looks forward to having trick or treaters visit on Halloween, Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m.
■Join family and friends at Bessie Rowell Community Center (BRCC) on Oct. 27 for a fun family evening highlighting “Lights on After School.” There will be a Magic Show from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and dinner from 5:30 to 6 p.m.

■Free transportation for all ages to your polling place in Franklin Wards 1, 2 and 3, is available on the TRIP Center van on Primary day, Nov. 8. Call (603) 220-1989 anytime now or before Nov. 7 at 2 p.m. This van is also available for appointment, shopping, or a ride to the TRIP Center. You must call at least 24 hours in advance.
