■Boscawen Polls are open on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Boscawen Elementary School. If you are not registered to vote in Boscawen, you can do so on Election Day. Town Offices will be closed on Election Day and the morning after voting, they will also be closed on Nov. 11 in honor of Veteran’s Day.

■“Music in My Pockets: Family Fun in Folk Music” is coming to the Boscawen Public Library on Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m. Attendees will enjoy revisiting a New England town in 1850 or 1910 when families gathered around the kitchen hearth, participating in singing games, using pocket instruments like spoons and dancing puppets and sharing songs.

■History Buffs are invited to browse the wonderful collection of books, artifacts and information at the Boscawen Historical Society at 226 King St. The museum will be open on Nov. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m. and by appointment for the next few months. Volunteers to help with displays and input data are needed. Leave a message at (603) 995-0111 if interested.

Mrs. Queen Takes the Train a novel by William Kuhn will be reviewed by the Boscawen Public Library’s Book Discussion Group at their meeting on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

■This year’s holiday food baskets will be replaced with a voucher program to be used at participating Market Baskets. Forms to apply are available at the Town Municipal Offices at 116 N. Main St., or on their website www.townofboscawen.org. Signups end on Nov. 30. Vouchers will be ready for pickup on Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon.

■The Boscawen Food Pantry asks that those residents who need a Thanksgiving Basket, call Linda Patton at (603) 998-2853. Monetary donations would be greatly appreciated and please make your check out to Boscawen Congregational Church Food Pantry and mail it to 12 High St., Boscawen, NH 03303.

■The Town Clerk-Tax Collector’s office will be closed on Nov. 8 for the General Election.

■Voting will take place at the Canterbury Elementary School, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

■On Nov. 10 at 9 a.m., CES students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 will pay tribute to veterans. All community veterans are invited to attend this special tribute. Coffee and refreshments will be served in the school library following the assembly.

■We are excited that we will be able to hold our traditional Senior Citizen Thanksgiving Luncheon this year at CES. The luncheon, including a full turkey dinner and dessert, will be served by members of our student council. Entertainment will be provided by our younger learners. The luncheon will be held on Nov. 17 at noon in the CES Library. Please RSVP by Nov. 15 by calling (603) 783-9944. This event is open to all senior citizens of Canterbury.

■Annual Artist Open House, Art created in the Spirit of Nature is on Nov. 12 at the Canterbury Center in the Meetinghouse from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

■Musical Monday. On the first Monday of every month, Nov. 7 at 2 p.m., come to the library to watch a musical on our big screen at 2 p.m. This month, The Barkleys of Broadway starring Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.

■Story Time. Join us at the library on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. for stories, songs and a craft. This program is perfect for children from birth through Kindergarten. Come to the library and meet your children’s future classmates while fostering a love of reading.

■Tunes, Tales and Tumbles at the library on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for songs, stretching, stories and more! This program is perfect for our youngest patrons ages birth through preschool.

■“Composting for Trash Reduction” on Nov. 15 at 6 p.m., in the Meeting House. Presented by Kimberly Scamman, P.E.

WEBSTERSeed Swap

■The Webster Gardeners will hold a Seed Swap at the Town Hall on Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. There will be a wide variety of seeds available for you to take home. You do not need to be a member of the group to participate.

■The Selectboard will meet on Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m.

■The General Election will be held on Nov. 8 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Webster Grange Hall. Remember to bring your picture ID with you.

■The Energy Committee will be holding a public hearing on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Grange Hall at Town Hall. The hearing is being held to discuss Webster Community Power.

■The next Free Friday Film will be Elvis (2022) so get out your blue suede shoes and dance your way to the meeting hall on Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.

■The Society for the Preservation of the Old Meeting House and the Webster Free Public Library welcomes everyone to attend a presentation on “How to Do Genealogy Research” on Nov. 19 at 1:30 p.m. For more information, email webster1860@gmail.com.
