Military Day

Concord Crimson Tide baseball will hold its annual Military Appreciation Day on May 1 when Concord hosts Nashua North. All veterans are welcome to attend to be recognized. Please report to the third base dugout area at Memorial Field’s Doane Diamond at 3:30 p.m. The Tide would also like all veterans to supply a brief description of your service so it can be shared with everyone in attendance. Veterans can RSVP to Steve Mello, smello@sau8.org, head coach Scott Owen, sowen@sau8.org, or just share a handwritten bio when you arrive at the dugout.

JV results

The Concord JV softball team picked up a win against Kingswood. Avery MacDonald pitched a complete game for the win with seven strikeouts. Wren Amrol (four runs, 4-for-4, double, three RBI), Laura Lorenze (two runs, two hits, two RBI) and Georgia Nolan (run, hit, RBI) led the offense. Macy Sprague made a nice catch in the outfield to anchor the defense.

■The Concord reserve baseball came from behind to defeat Bedford, 9-6. Carter Cutrer had three hits, while Quinn Sullivan, Isaac Vaillancourt and Kale Washburn had two hits each. Michael Barry, Noah Chrabalowski, Alex Turant and Tommy Weaver all hit singles. Weaver went four innings with five strikeouts and two earned runs allowed. Barry allowed no earned runs in two innings and Noah Chrabalowski closed out the game with a strikeout to secure the win.

Middle school

The Bow Memorial Wildcats baseball team beat Merrimack Valley Middle School, 11-1. Bryce Gervais, Aidan O’Keeffe and Josh Roos all drove in runs to lead the offense. Clayton Nadzan got the win for on the mound, allowing one run on two hits, striking out seven in four innings. Andrew King threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Chase Crowell went 2-for-4 at the plate.

Youth lacrosse

Concord Crush 10U team lost to Merrimack, 12-5. Concord’s offense was led by Marion Diaz, Mae Clattenburg, Evie Landry and Harper Vega. Juliana Hennessy and Charlotte Sullivan led the defense.
