Vermont Roots band Low Lily will bring their album release tour to the Bank of N.H. Stage in Concord on April 28 at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7 p.m.)
With a vocal blend that has been dubbed “outstanding” and “meticulous,” Low Lily has crafted a signature sound which they have shared with enthusiastic audiences throughout North America and the UK, garnering two No. 1 songs on international folk radio and two Independent Music Award wins.
With the release of their new record “Angels in the Wreckage,” Low Lily now tours as a five-piece with drums and bass for the first time ever. The show features Hazel Royer on double bass, and Stefan Amidon (of the Sweetback Sisters) on drums, plus mandolinist/guitarist/singer Flynn Cohen, guitarist/singer Liz Simmons and fiddler/singer Natalie Padilla. This exclusive full-band performance brings the energy of fiddle music, the introspective quality of contemporary folk, the precision of Bluegrass, the drive of Americana, and combines all these elements into one stunning soundscape.
Opening for Low Lily in Concord will be Green Heron. The music of Green Heron stretches across the entire folk landscape. Old-time, Americana, bluegrass, country, celtic and blues music are all represented as the band brings the back porch to the stage. Featuring Betsy Heron on fiddle, banjo and vocals, and Scott Heron on guitar, banjo and vocals, the duo has been sharing stages together since 2017. With three albums under their belt, the two songwriters weave the contemporary with the traditional and deliver high energy live performances.
