New Legacy Swing Band
What: Returning to The Fells, is New Legacy Swing Band with the big sound of their 17-piece swing band. Their play list includes Blood, Sweat and Tears, Brian Setzer, Herb Alpert, Chicago, and, of course, well-known big band and swing classics with updated arrangements of the big band era. Please bring your own picnic to enjoy as you listen to the music and feel free to dance.
When: Sunday, Aug. 13, 5 to 7 p.m.

Clandestine Jazz Collective Summer Concert
What: Join behind Wesley United Methodist & First Congregational Churches for a concert by “Clandestine.” Led by saxophonist Andrew Emmanuel, this instrumental Funk & Soul band will get you on your feet! The concert is free to the public (Donations accepted) and they’ll have snacks and soft drinks available at a modest price. Bring your lawn chairs and bug spray. Kids are welcome to use the adjacent playground while you watch the concert.
When: Thursday, Aug. 10, at 6 p.m.
Where: 79 Clinton St, in Concord
Info: This concert is rain or shine. If the weather is looking inclement the performance will be moved to the inside at the back of the church building.
An Evening of Broadway
What: The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction will hold its second annual theater fundraising event, ‘An Evening of Broadway.’ The show will offer musical performances of all ages from local community theater groups, including Franklin Footlight Theatre, Gilford Performing Arts, Interlakes Theatre, One Light Theatre, Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative, Streetcar Company and Winnipesaukee Playhouse. Students from Broadway North Dance Studio and Stages Dance Academy will be performing as well.
When: Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 7 p.m.
Where: The Colonial Theatre, 609 Main Street in Laconia.
Info: The event is family-friendly, and tickets range from $20-$30. Individuals are also invited to sponsor a seat for $20 per child to allow children from the Boys and Girls Club and other local nonprofits to attend at no cost. Tickets can be purchased online or in person at The Colonial Theatre
Mandala Make & Take at Twiggs Gallery
What: Twiggs Gallery in Boscawen will be offering a free Rock Mandala Make & Take, where participants learn how to make a Rock Mandala. It’s the perfect Saturday activity to do with the entire family. Twiggs Gallery will have all of the supplies you need to make this craft.
When: Saturday, Aug. 12. Drop in anytime between 1 and 3 p.m.
