Egypt, a Cruise Down the Nile

What: This cinematic study by award-winning filmmaker Marlin Darrah tells the story of Egypt and the Nile, taking you on a journey to the Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara, through the market streets of the city of Cairo, to ancient Memphis, to the beautiful city of Alexandria by the Mediterranean, to the remarkable achievement known as the Suez Canal, to the holy sites in Sinai, and to the Red Sea and the great Temples of Luxor, Karnak and Aswan. Marlin Darrah will be at the City Auditorium for questions and conversation.

East Meets West, Vol. 2

What: Symphony NH’s 100th Anniversary kicks off the 2023-24 Season with ‘East Meets West Vol. 2.’ This concert is a perfect fusion of Eastern and Western music merging of North Indian Classical, quasi-baroque, electronic and traditional tabla styles. To close this concert, a beloved Beethoven; his energetic and exuberant Symphony No. 7 in A Major.

When: Saturday, Sept. 23 at 7:30 p.m.

‘Great Gatsby’

What:Patrons are invited to join The Majestic Theatre’s 18th Annual Auction & Performance for a Roaring 1920s themed event featuring performances by Majestic’s Adult, Teen, & Youth Actors, Ted Herbert Faculty & Students, and Special Guests. Separate Silent Auctions will be offered each evening, along with specialty raffles and refreshments. Proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit The Majestic Theatre and Ted Herbert Music School, offering year-round community theatre productions as well as music and theatre educational opportunities.

What: Marking a year of fostering artistic growth and vibrant community ties, Mosaic Art Collective announces its one-year anniversary exhibition entitled, ‘Full Circle: The First Revolution.’ Just as our Earth undertakes its yearly journey around the sun, the collective and its artists, too, have come full circle, culminating a year of enriched creativity and collaboration. ‘Full Circle’ is more than just a theme; it’s a reflection of our shared voyage, encapsulating the ebbs and flows, the inspirations, and expressions of our year together.
