“One Nation under God, indivisible with Liberty and justice for all.” This is the essence of who we are as Americans! It is our allegiance as part of a whole country, a society that provides us all with a foundation of belief in freedom and rules that enable us to enjoy freedoms such as, “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” afforded by law and order. The Constitution is based on a democratic Republic which provides the citizens and people of the U.S. with the ultimate power to rule. “We the people” are empowered to ensure our nation’s basic truths, our creed, is upheld by our representative government which is supposed to honor the will of the people through Congress.
Recently, “We the people” have lost our voice! Congress in total appears to be beholding to other Big Money interests against the basic needs of the U.S. It is time for “We the People” to stand up for our country, to restore America to the ideals of the Constitution and the intent of our forefathers to be that shining light for the world. Vote for the candidates that will uphold the law of the land, write to your representatives and senators to let them know your positions and hold them accountable for what they swore to uphold. Let them know their job depends on following the needs of “We the People” and when they fail, vote them out!
