As a retired Air Force Officer, I understand what it means to dedicate oneself to public service. Cinde Warmington exemplifies the commitment and integrity required of public officials to protect our personal freedoms and to advance policies to improve the lives of all citizens of our state irrespective of race, national origin, religious affiliation or economic condition. I am saddened by Joyce Craig’s misleading effort to link Cinde to the disgraced pharmaceutical company Purdue Pharma that lied to the public and the medical community, misleading doctors and regulators. Cinde however, had only a fleeting association with Purdue when assigned a few months of routine legal work as a new associate at Shaheen & Gordon in 2002, long before the public and federal regulators learned of Purdue Pharma’s predatory practices that helped create the opioid crisis.

In contrast, Warmington’s personal story and professional history strongly refute these assertions. She has dealt with substance abuse in her own family and has represented doctors, nurses, mental health centers, and abortion care providers. These experiences have deepened her awareness of how substance abuse can affect families and communities. No gubernatorial candidate of either party stands more fully committed to supporting law enforcement, professional licensure boards, healthcare professionals, and community programs to combat substance abuse in NH. Please join me on Sept. 10 to reject the Craig campaign’s misinformation campaign and to vote for the candidate best qualified, by character, integrity and experience to lead our great Granite State.
