Highlights: The Bears finished second out of 15 teams in a season-opening meet at Plymouth State on Saturday. Only Division I Nashua North (102) topped D-II Coe-Brown (58). Souhegan (56), Hollis-Brookline (42.33) and Monadnock (33) were the top five teams.

Bow 7th

Key players: Bow – Kody McCranie (2nd 300), Jack Noce (3rd 1,500), Liam Miller (3rd 55 hurdles), George Kohl (6th 55 hurdles), 4×200 (5th)

Highlights:  The Falcons finished seventh out of 12 teams in a season-opening meet at Phillips Exeter Academy. Phillips Exeter (83), Salem (56), Dover (53), Hanover (46), ConVal (36), Pelham (24) and Bow (23) were the top seven team scores.

Kearsarge 7th, Pembroke 8th

Key players: Kearsarge – Daniel Dalbec (1st 1,500 in 4:19); Pembroke – Zachery Heichlinger (3rd shot put), Brandon Lurvey (6th 300), 4×160 (6th)

Highlights: Oyster River won a 10-team meet at UNH on Sunday with 98 points, followed by Alvirne (74), Portsmouth (53), Prospect Mountain (46), Timberlane (35) and Kingswood (32) in the top six. The Cougars (10) and Spartans (8) were seventh and eighth, respectively.

Girls’ Indoor Track

Coe-Brown 3rd

Key players: Coe-Brown – Bristol Shirland (2nd 55 hurdles), Paige Murdough (2nd 3,000), Anabelle Lovett (3rd 600), Isabella Grenier (3rd shot put), Jazzlyn Curry (3rd long jump, 5th 300), Maggie Esacbi (4th long jump), Riley Hawkes (6th 55 dash), Meredith Kerivan (6th 1,000), 4×200 (3rd), 4×400 (6th)

Highlights: The Bears tallied 49 points, finishing behind Nashua North (86) and Hollis-Brookline (58). Keene (43) and Souhegan (41) rounded out the top five teams.

Bow 3rd

Key players: Bow – Camden Wilson (1st high jump at 4-10, 6th long jump), Julia Hou (2nd 1,000), Emily Fauteux (3rd high jump), Keegan O’Meara (3rd 600), Charlotte Weiss (5th shot put, 5th long jump), Reanne Hubbard (tied 5th high jump), 4×200 (4th), 4×400 (6th)

Highlights:  Portsmouth scored 108 points in a Sunday morning meet at UNH to easily top the team standings. Alvirne (57), Timberlane (55), Kingswood (44), Oyster River (37) and Newmarket (29) were the top six teams. Kearsarge (28.5) and Pembroke (4.5) were seventh and ninth, respectively.
