A young driver from Bow was involved in a head-on crash on Interstate 93 in Concord on Thursday after she got on the highway going the wrong direction, police said.
Around 12 p.m., Liana Fox, 18, of Bow, was traveling north on the highway in a silver Hyundai after she got on the southbound off-ramp at Exit 13.
Two lanes of I-93 southbound were closed for about 15 minutes while emergency personnel freed Fox from her vehicle.
Soon after getting on the highway, Fox crossed into the high-speed lane where she collided with a black Chevrolet pickup truck driven by William Marie, 57, of Barrington, police said.
Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for evaluation of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The Exit 13 interchange can prove difficult for drivers unfamiliar with the area. That specific off-ramp is next to the Common Man restaurant on Water Street.
All aspects of the crash remain under investigation.
