School Funding
It has been suggested that, given the refusal of the state to offer any financial assistance, something akin to a GoFundMe account be established to assist with the financial dilemma in the Claremont schools.
Without naming any names, I feel certain that there are a goodly number of NH residents who could, without even making a dent in their overall financial circumstances, write a check to cover the full amount of the school departmentโs monetary shortfall, thereby guaranteeing a fully staffed, fully programmed, high quality school year while a long-term solution is worked out at the local and state level.
I would strongly urge those folks who benefit financially to such a great extent through the absence of an income tax, the demise of the interest and dividends tax, the lack of an estate tax and reduced business taxes to give this suggestion some serious consideration.
