Disabled resident losing food stamps
I am 82 in senior housing in Berlin, NH. A low income friend, totally disabled and in a wheel chair, just had her food stamps cut by $30 a month by the state. Apparently they are getting less money from the federal government and have to do cuts. Another friend in the building, not disabled, but low income, also had his food stamps cut $30. I buy a small piece of chuck steak for beef stew, and it’s $12 to $15 for the piece … We have a sharp rise in food prices while food stamp are being cut by Congress.
