Former Concord softball pitcher Maddy Wachter was named America East Conference Pitcher of the Year.
The 2024 Gatorade New Hampshire Player of the Year award-winner, now a sophomore at Bryant University, had her best season yet.
She posted career bests in wins (11), ERA (2.95), complete games (11) and opponent batting average (.238).
Her overall record was 11-4, with six complete games, two shutouts and a 1.02 WHIP. Her mark was also the first sub-three ERA for the Bulldogs since 2022.
She was also named to the conference First-Team and All-Academic team. Wachter became the first pitcher in program history to earn Pitcher of the Year.
The Bulldogs were eliminated in the America East playoffs, but Wachter’s future remains bright as she flourished in her second season.
