A 2023 Jeep Wrangler crashed on I-93 northbound on Sunday, Sept. 21.

A Manchester woman was arrested Sunday evening after driving the wrong way on Interstate 93 and colliding head-on with another vehicle, according to New Hampshire State Police.

At 11:32 p.m., police received reports of a wrong-way driver on I-93 northbound near Exit 12. While troopers were on the way, they received a report of a crash.

Arriving at the scene four minutes later, troopers found a 2023 red Jeep Wrangler in the right travel lane by Exit 12S and a 2011 black Chevrolet Silverado in the right breakdown lane near Exit 12N. Neither driver was injured, according to state police.

The Jeep’s driver and only occupant was identified as Sandra Ouellette, 57, of Manchester. She was arrested on charges of DUI, criminal mischief and reckless conduct, and she was later released on personal recognizance. She will be arraigned on Oct. 10 in Concord District Court.

Authorities diverted traffic around Exit 12S for one hour while the scene was cleared and investigated. Bow Police Department and Concord Fire Department assisted on the scene.
