Following the Derryโ€™s fire chief arrest last month on charges of driving under the influence, his attorney has asked for access to video evidence in the case.

Shawn Haggart, 47, Derryโ€™s fire chief, was arrested on Oct. 18 by the Bow Police Department after driving โ€œover an unbroken painted line,โ€ according to court documents.

He was driving a little after 12:30 a.m. on Route 3A in Bow.

Haggart, who lives in Chester, entered a not guilty/no plea and was released on bail.

Eric Wilson, of the law firm Wilson, Bush, Durkin & Keefe, who is representing Haggart, has asked the court to provide all video evidence related to the case, including cruiser footage, body camera video, and any recordings of Haggart during the arrest, booking process, and detention at the police department.

Haggart joined the Derry Fire Department in 2001 and rose through the ranks. He was appointed fire chief in March of last year. He began his career as an EMT in Vermont.
