Toys for Tots in Loudon
The Loudon Lions Club and Loudon American Legion Post 88 will be teaming up in a special way on Saturday, Nov. 29, when they’ll host a “Toys for Tots” social at the Legion building on South Village Road across from the Village Store from 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
This event occurs the day after the famous “Black Friday” shopping day, and members hope that local shoppers will pick up an extra toy or two that day to drop off at Post 88 on Saturday. Cash donations are also welcome. The toys collected will support the annual Marine Corps “Toys for Tots” effort. Post 88 will be decorated in the best holiday tradition and there will be Christmas music and lots of food and goodies. Post 88 Commander Gary Tasker will provide his famous Christmas punch and more.
