Concord, NH – Virginia A. Joslyn, 79, of Concord, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Born in Auburn, NY on October 19, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anne (Stratton) Joslyn. Virginia was educated in the Auburn school system and often recalled those years as some of her fondest memories. Throughout her life she continued to pursue learning, earning a BS from Empire State University, an Associate degree from Auburn Community College, and certifications as a Fitness Specialist and in Coaching for Personal and Professional Mastery.
After many years working for and alongside others, Virginia became self-employed through her business, Health Independence, LLC, leading Senior Fitness classes within the Concord, NH community. Prior to that, she spent many years in a similar role with Always an Adventure, guiding active seniors on day trips around the region, to national parks, and on travels abroad.
Virginia found her greatest joy outdoors-walking, hiking, kayaking, gardening, and skiing. She cherished time with friends and family and was especially delighted to have many of them with her to celebrate her birthday last month. She lived a life filled with love and service and touched deeply the lives of those fortunate enough to share in her presence.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Carol J. Nova.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Marc Torrey and Christopher Law and his wife Michele; by the many grandchildren she adored; by her niece, Kirsten Burke, and her nephew, Eric Wright; and by dear ones she lovingly embraced as family-Jeffrey Torrey and his wife Julie, Jennifer Smith and her husband Harvey, and Jessica Torrey.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13th, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at her residence in Concord, NH. For those who wish, donations may be made to Pope Memorial SPCA, in support of Virginia’s longtime love for animals.
