A Manchester man is facing felony sexual assault charges following a lengthy investigation by Concord Police that resulted in his arrest on Thursday.
Alexander Colbath, 25, was charged with four felonies, including manufacturing child sex abuse images, felonious sexual assault, violation of privacy and endangering the welare of a child, according to the Concord Police Department.
On Sept. 7, a woman spoke with Concord Police after hearing concerning details from her children about the man she had recently hired to babysit them. The children were interviewed at the Merrimack County Child Advocacy Center.
The male subject was arrested by Manchester police on an unrelated matter on December 5, and additional search warrants were executed, providing further evidence that verified the children’s accounts.
On Thursday, Jan. 8, Manchester police located Colbath and transferred him to the custody of the Concord Police Department. He is being held Merrimack County House of Corrections while he waits his arraignment in the Concord District Court on Jan. 9.
