Broken Ground art teacher Karen McCormack puts up artwork for the Youth Art Month exhibition at the City Wide Community Center on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The exhibition will be up from February 21st through March 31st. The opening reception will be held on March 5th from 5:00 to 6:30.

Student artwork adorns the walls of the City Wide Community Center in Concord. Colors and designs of every kind line the brick interior of the building, providing a glimpse into the young imaginations and burgeoning talent of Concord’s children.

From now until the end of March, the annual Youth Art Month display will celebrate the creativity of the city’s students. Presented by the Concord School District’s art department, Youth Art Month showcases work across all grade levels and forms of art, from painting, drawing and sculpture to mixed media and digital art.

“The show reflects the incredible talent and imagination of Concordโ€™s young artists and underscores the districtโ€™s commitment to fostering creativity through arts education,” the district’s art department wrote in a statement.

The student work will be on exhibit until March 31. The City Wide Community Center is located at 14 Canterbury Road in Concord.

On Thursday, March 5 from 5-6:30 p.m., the center will host an opening reception for families, educators and community members to check out the art and meet the student artists.

Youth Art Month, which takes place nationally, “emphasizes the importance of visual arts education in developing critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills,” according to the district.
