NH make up for missing federal monies how?
President Trump has thrown Gov. Ayotte a challenge. A clip of his voice on WBUR’s “On Point” said, “We’re a big country … We’re fighting wars. We can’t take care of daycare [or Medicaid or Medicare]. You gotta let a state take care of daycare and they should pay for it too. They should pay. They have to raise their taxes. But they should pay for it.”
So, our New Hampshire with, now, no income tax, no sales tax โ what do you say, Gov. Ayotte? Property taxes already strain to pay for our public schools, even as our conservative House and Senate allow education dollars to shift to non-public education.
Costs of war on Iran include Tomahawk missiles at $2 million to $4 million each. Some estimates for war costs are $1 billion to $2 billion per day. Justin Wolfers on “On Point” said, “… the cost of the Iraq war ended up being roughly 100 times larger than the early forecasts.” $20 billion per week on bombs now? Linda Bilmes said, “If these veterans claim at the same rate as those from the short 1991 Gulf War, then we can expect 37% of them to receive lifetime benefits, which is already tens of billions of dollars.”
Gov. Ayotte, bowing to President Trump โ what do you see for New Hampshire taxes as a result of his war on Iran, minus the most experienced heads in the Pentagon’s planning rooms because Sec. of Defense Hegseth fired them or pushed their retirement? (Not to practice Diversity, Equity, Inclusion โ per President Trump.)
