Walk for Sight

If you are, or know someone who is blind or visually impaired, you may know about Future in Sight, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting people like me. I am writing to ask for your support of the Walk for Sight, a fund-raising event for Future In Sight. The walk will be held on Saturday, May 16 at the State House in Concord.

When I became legally blind due to age-related macular degeneration, my doctors at the Concord Eye Center referred me to Future In Sight. The caring staff have given me support, low and high tech aids and strategies, enabling me to stay as independent as possible. I am lucky to have insurance that covers a lot of costs for these services. But many blind or low-vision folks are not so fortunate.

So if you are able, please make a contribution in support of this organization. You can donate online at FutureInSight.org, or send a check to Future In Sight, 25 Walker Street Concord NH 03301, or join us at the State House on May 16.
