Democratic Party focus
The Democratic Party is quickly coming to a crossroads. The courts have reduced the chances of Democrats regaining the House. The existential question on how the party will fight and survive comes into a clearer view.
For far too long, the party has been tone deaf on what it takes to return to their party roots, as well as not listening to the people. The unrealistic agenda of the party’s radical, progressive wing of the party does not resonate with most voters. If the party wants to win, they need to be talking about real issues affecting the average American, not catering to a very small segment of the party. If the party repeats the focus of 2024, they are doomed.
Wokeism, transgender issues, free daycare for all and abortion should not be major issues in their platform. Stick to being the party of the working class. Focus on inflation, economy, job creation, tax reform, health care, immigration reform, voting rights, environmental responsibility, preserving our democracy and AIโs impact on jobs. The social issues championed in prior elections need to be left on the sidelines. Iโm not saying that those issues are not important, they just shouldnโt be priorities now.
Unfortunately, Iโm not sure the party leaders learned anything from the 2024 blood bath. Leadership changes are long overdue. History repeats itself on those who donโt learn from prior miss steps!
