Concord, NH – Martha Marie Mahoney, 83, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away at Concord Hospital on May 9, 2026, with family by her side. She was born on November 14, 1942, in Springfield, Vermont, to Robert and Marjorie Hazen.
Martha lived a life centered on family, caring for others, and quiet strength. Though she began nursing training and worked as an LNA, she chose to raise her family, a role she embraced with love and dedication. She later ran an in-home daycare, caring for toddlers and children with special needs. It was work that reflected who she was: patient, dependable, nurturing, and compassionate.
On October 26, 1963, she married Ronald Edward Mahoney, and together they built a marriage and family spanning more than six decades.
Martha was the beloved mother of Shawn Mahoney and his wife, Tina, Coleen Hill and her husband, Rick, and Ryan Mahoney. She was also a proud grandmother to Heather Hill and her wife, Anna Hullinger, and to Dylan, Scott, Ayther, and Oliver Mahoney.
She was a reader, a lover of poetry, and was known for cards, letters, and small acts of kindness.
A private burial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha’s memory may be made to the Concord Public Library.
