Help cancel HB 1766 – for animals’ sake

Lee’s Police Chief Tom Dronsfield wrote a responsible and compassionate letter to the paper, published on May 14. Cut it out and tape it up to be a postcard sent away. I sent this one, about HB 1766 and why Gov. Kelly Ayotte must veto the bill coming to her desk, because without it, the police cannot do animal welfare rescues. Sent it to Gov. Ayotte: 107 N. Main Street, Concord, NH, 03301.

Lee’s police, when dealing with animal rescues, turn to the NH SPCA. Right! The rescue needs doing, and professionals are ready to help. First, though, a police intervention needs law on its side. Please, others, write to Gov. Ayotte as chief Dronsfield asks, for public help in defeating HB 1766 with her veto. Or call her office at 271-2121.
