Remove Travis Corcoran

On Thursday, May 21, the full House will vote on whether to censure Rep. Travis Corcoran for ethics violations related to antiemetic remarks made in an email to a colleague.
Censure is a mild consequence considering the history of this man’s behaviors.

According to news reports, after the shooting of Rep. Gabriel Giffords in 2011, in a blog post, Mr. Corcoran wrote, “1 down, 534 to go,” referring to the US Congress. In 2013, his Massachusetts home was searched and firearms belonging to his girlfriend were taken in response to a Twitter account on which he seemed to call for the shooting of government employees. He moved to NH after this.

Then, in 2023, he encouraged people to use the N-word publicly. In 2025, he claimed that “gun violence isn’t associated with guns but with African Americans” and claimed that Black people committed violent crimes at the rate of 5-10x the rate of white people.

The current issue is his calling for a “final solution” for “theater kids in politics”.
His bigotry is blatant. This kind of racism, antisemitism and plain hatred has no place in our House of Representatives. He should be removed rather than censured.
