Hopkinton, NH – Thomas Earle Allen of Hopkinton NH died peacefully on April 19, 2026. Beloved husband and life partner to Nini, Father to Leeland (Francesco Barbara) and Joselyn and PaPa to Esme, Tommy was his family's North Star. He was a master builder, inventor, mechanic, musician and star-gazer. He knew almost everything about everything, and if he didn't know it he would search for the answer until he did. Always there to lend a hand to neighbors and friends, typically shirtless in warmer weather and oftentimes just a tad bit grumpy, Tom was a true original, rarely doing things in a conventional way.
Born and raised in Newport Vermont, Tom is also survived by his younger brother Barry (Anita) Allen as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, David and Wilma (Wallace) Allen; his brother, Michael Allen; and his sister, Winsome (Allen) Hamilton.
In lieu of a traditional memorial service, Tom's family will be celebrating him later this Summer with "Tommy Allen Day", welcoming neighbors, friends and family to the home and land that he worked and loved to remember his incomparable spirit.
