Deering, NH – On June 6th, 2026 Lynn Gaides passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Texas.
Lynn Gaides never backed down from a challenge. She raised a beautiful family, beat cancer, and brightened the lives of anyone she met.
Lynn Gaides was born in the Washington DC area in the year of 1938 to her parents of Dean Bogart and Dorothy Chambers. She has two brothers, Jan and David. Due to her father’s job, she moved up and down the east coast. She graduated HS in Albany NY, and claimed the state archery championship. She was accepted into Mass General RN program in Boston, where she met her husband of 64 years Charles Gaides. They married in Puerto Rico in 1961. They raised two children Walter and Kristin in Deering NH. Lynn’s career spanned 45 years working at Hillsboro House Nursing Home and the Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic pediatric department. She loved her cats, lots of cats, and anyone who needed someone to listen to.
In her retirement she enjoyed good food, good wine, traveling, and her family. Her favorite places were Boothbay Maine and anywhere in Italy. She is survived by her husband Charles, her brothers, Jan and David, her children, Walter and Kristin, her grandchildren, Laura, Julian, Kylie and Erik, and her great grandchildren, Hayden and Morgan.
Wherever she is now, she is leading the pack with a good glass of wine. Cheers.
