Three people were seriously injured in a head-on collision after a vehicle crossed the I-293 median in Hooksett.
At approximately 5:40 a.m. on Tuesday, New Hampshire State Police responded to a report of a two-vehicle head-on crash on Interstate 293 northbound in Hooksett.
A preliminary investigation determined that 43-year-old Timothy Hubbard, of Rome, Maine, lost control of his 2020 Subaru Legacy while traveling southbound on the interstate, according to state police. Hubbard crossed the center median and collided head-on with a Ford F-150 traveling northbound, whose driver has not been identified.
Authorities are investigating what prompted Hubbard to lose control, believing speed to be a potential factor, according to state police.
Hubbard, his passenger and the driver of the Ford F-150 all sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash and were brought to area hospitals for treatment.
All northbound lanes and the left southbound lane were closed for roughly an hour while the crash was investigated by State Troopers and emergency personnel.
